NORTH VERSAILLES, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say gunfire at a popular Halloween attraction in western Pennsylvania killed one teenager and critically wounded another - with another teenager being sought as a suspect. Allegheny County police said the shooting was reported at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday at the Haunted Hills Hayride in North Versailles. First responders found two 15-year-old youths shot and took them to hospitals, where one was pronounced dead in the emergency room and the other was listed in critical condition.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — City Council, in a 4-3 vote, approved a liquor license transfer for the Sheetz on Broad Street, paving the way for the convenience store to continue a statewide beer-selling trend. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will still have to approve the transfer, which requires the Sheetz to do a remodel to add seating for 30 people, among other things. Ellen Freeman, a lawyer representing Sheetz at the Wednesday night meeting, said this vote is the beginning of the process, not the end.
