UPDATE | Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Huntingdon County have identified the human remains found in Morris Township as Jedediah Rawlings, an Alexandria man who fled from troopers earlier this year after threatening police with knives.
In late January, troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Rawlings' vehicle, at which time he reportedly led police on a pursuit.
During the chase, authorities say Rawlings stopped in a parking lot where he threatened two troopers with knives before getting back into his vehicle.
SAN FRANCISCO (TND) — Adam Nathan, board chair for The Salvation Army San Francisco, criticized the city’s managed alcohol program last week for distributing drinks to people addicted to alcohol.
The initiative aims to stabilize drinking patterns while providing housing, medical supervision and social support to alleviate severe alcohol use, poverty and homelessness.
“The whole thing is very odd to me," Nathan wrote on X Tuesday. "Providing free drugs to drug addicts doesn’t solve their problems.

WELLSVILLE, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities say a York County man is charged with shooting and killing his father following an argument.
According to NBC affiliate WGAL, the shooting happened late Monday night at a home along Carroll Street in Wellsville. Wyatt Dettinger, 21, now faces charges of that include criminal homicide.
WGAL reports Dettinger was in a "fit of rage" in his bedroom and began hitting a television with his hands and a rifle.
BEDFORD, Pa. (WJAC) -- Community members and business owners want St. Thomas The Apostle School to stay open.
St. Thomas principal Amy Higgins announced in January that the doors will close at the end of the school year for good, after more than 52 years.
According to the diocese, the school cannot afford to stay open under financial pressure and declining enrollment.
