Annual charity hockey game aims to support Blair County family services

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Organizers say the Altoona police and fire department have had a long running rivalry on the ice. Each year the departments play one another in a hockey game to raise money for various charities. Proceeds from this year's Guns vs. Hoses event are going to Blair Family Services Inc. The organization runs several shelters within the city and provides services for victims of crimes including rape and domestic violence.

Donald Trump Jr. holds 'Make America Great Again' rallies in Centre, Blair counties

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — The “Make America Great Again” campaign is making its way through two counties in our viewing area Tuesday. President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Jr., made an appearance at the Fullington Trail Ways in Centre County. The “Make America Great Again” campaign has now had multiple stops across the state. President Trump was scheduled to visit Erie Tuesday evening. Trump Jr. last visited Centre County back in April of 2019, where he visited Penn State for a “Campus Clash.

Small earthquake in eastern Pennsylvania causes no damage

WYOMISSING HILLS, Pa. (AP) — Federal officials say a small earthquake in eastern Pennsylvania didn't cause any damage. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 1.6 magnitude quake occurred around 10:50 p.m. Sunday near Wyomissing Hills in Berks County. Several residents reported hearing a loud boom and said the quake shook bookshelves and caused their doors to briefly rattle. Officials say earthquakes with a magnitude between 1.0 and 3.0 aren't typically felt by residents.
